Short Plays
I’ve written dozens of plays over the last decade and even had a few produced. My main format of success has been the 10 minute play and I’ve had 4 produced in the 10 x 10 Play Festival in Thunder Bay.

Play Your Cards Right
My most recent project is the expansion of Play Your Cards Right, a 2019 short play. It is an exploration of my experience as a summer student at a paper mill. My characters could see that the end is near, but choose to deny what’s coming.
Set in the 1980’s, a time when hundreds of mills closed, eroding the viability of community in small towns across Canada. While the play is set in a paper mill, the characters and experiences will be familiar to most audiences in today’s economy when every industry seems in transition.
I was fortunate to receive an Ontario Arts Council Recommenders Grant to expand this work in 2024. Thanks go to OAC, the Province of Ontario and YES Theater in Sudbury for their support.
